TRENDS…
With less than 30 days to go until Christmas Day, marketing campaigns are beginning to be rolled out across all platforms. Here at PSE, we are looking into the new year and in a world, which is becoming more and more digital, stores need to use their physical advantage by making the experience for their customers. Find out some of the trends expected to make an impact in 2020!
Less can be more!
The worse thing you can do is put customers off coming into your store with overcrowded and over the top displays. Therefore, using the less is more approach to let’s your offer do the talking. Draw customers in with an offer they can’t ignore and ensure your displays are uniformed with your branding. This strategy is a great way to kick start 2020 after the highly decorated Christmas season to strip back your store.
Transportable displays
Offers, seasons and trends can change quickly. Being able to quickly move your displays around the store will make you more reactive when the season or offer draws to an end. Using hanging signage is a great example of transportable displays and customers can use them to navigate straight to your promotion.
Sustainability
This has been a hot topic in 2019, with more and more alternatives to plastic becoming available we predict that using sustainable material for retail displays will become extremely popular in 2020. Bubble board is an example of an alternative material to plastic which is extremely durable and made up of 100% recycled materials. Re-board is another great alternative to plastic for display, which is cost-efficient, strong and 100% recyclable. Even a sustainable alternative to stickers is being introduced which is made up of 70% recycled pulp and 30% grass.

Using senses to sell
One of the biggest benefits of having a physical store is the ability to stimulate your customer’s senses. We’re all much more likely to buy a product if we can touch or in some cases smell it. For example, Poparoma can deliver a sent by the push of a button or the traditional scratch and sniff gets customers interacting. Creating displays where the customers can test or get a feel of the product before they buy will prove popular in 2020.
